what is the best night vision attachments for cameras?

does anyone know what equipment Ghost Adventures or Ghost Hunters use on their cameras. i have a cannon z900 and i just bought a Sima IR led light. but its only good for about 6 feet. and on ghost adventures i see that they can see way farther. so does anyone know what i can buy that can improve my nightvision?
