could you make an image of the sky ? I think with this, it should be possible to see through the steam. So then you can see the other side of the earth.
Actually $12,000 is among the cheapest I’ve seen for a thermal imager of any kind, so I wouldn’t say it’s that bad. It’s in the “I’m gonna have to save up for a few years maybe” kind of price range, but that’s a lot better than the “Ha, like fun I’ll ever be able to afford that!” range most of the others I’ve seen out there are. Perhaps in a few years time, the price may come down anyway *keeps fingers crossed.*
