How much does it cost to buy an Infrared Camera? Or Thermal Imaging Camera?
by admin on Friday, April 2nd, 2010 | 3 Comments
I want to buy one but don’t know how much it cost and can’t find a website that can tell me or buy from. Does anyone know how much and where to buy? If possible also has night vision, black and white, negative, and embossed as well for the video camera.

You seem to be a little confused about what they are for, a Thermal Imaging Camera is used for looking for objects that are warmer than the surrounding area useful for locating people trapped in buildings, areas of increased heat, in machinery.

Infrared Camera/night vision is used for taking pictures/video in total darkness.
Sony supply camcorders with "Night shot" infrared as part of the camera others supply infrared as a extra. Not sure about the effects, as the image is not always that good, in cheaper models. For the best results add the effects after you have taken the film and do it with your editing software.
Just go to http://www.Sony.com and look at their range.
unfortunately you do not give a budget, but a Thermal Imaging Camera will cost a lot of money starting around 6-7K. infrared starts a few hundred.
Good luck
